Your Mayor’s Permit, explained

The Mayor’s Permit is your business’s license to operate in the city. It is also the one most businesses forget to renew.

Every business operating within a city in the Philippines must hold a Mayor’s Permit (business permit) issued by the local government. It proves your business is licensed to operate at its registered address — and it must be renewed each year.

The application runs through City Hall: processing of the permit, your PSIC classification, supporting affidavits, and the business license itself. Renewals and new applications each involve fees, and the total depends on your business type and location.

For GEOLINK’s own application in Manila, the complete cost — processing, PSIC, notary and the business license — was about PHP 35,561. We manage the same process for clients, so the paperwork never becomes your problem.
